Sharon Erickson May 30, 2019 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Sharon L. Erickson, age 75, of Deer River, MN passed away Thursday, May 30, 2019 at Grand Village. Sharon was born in 1943 to Jay and Blanche Brough. She was born and raised in Grand Rapids, MN. Sharon graduated from Grand Rapids High School in 1961. Sharon and Roger Erickson were united in marriage on March 17, 1962. Sharon loved gardening and being with her family. Her passion was genealogy. She was a historian for The Itasca County Historical Society, where she was also a member from 1992 until present. She was also a member of the Women of the Moose of Grand Rapids, MN. Preceded in death by her parents. Sharon is survived by her husband of 57 years, Roger; children, LeeAnn (Stanley) Smith, Randy Erickson, Rodney Erickson; sister, Phyllis Erickson; three grandchildren, Joshua (Kari), Valerie (Jason), Jeremy (Alicia); and eight great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Monday, June 3 at 10:00 AM at Zion Lutheran Church in Grand Rapids continuing until the 11:00 AM Funeral Service. Rev. Ben Buchanan will officiate. Burial will be at Wildwood Cemetery at a later date.
