Sara Reynolds Hanson of Panama City, Florida September 5, 1933 – April 29, 2019 Mrs. Sara Reynolds Hanson, 85, of Panama City, FL, passed away on April 29, 2019 in Clearwater, FL. She was in Clearwater, due to the evacuation of Panama City during Hurricane Michael. Sara was born September 5, 1933 in Selma, AL. She spent her childhood in Selma, before moving to Panama City in 1952, where she married William A. “Billy” Register in January 1953. Mr. Register preceded her in death in September of 1976. Sara was classically trained in music and opera. She loved cooking, reading and anything related to history. She especially loved spending time on the water. Sara was preceded in death by her husband Jack P. Hanson; her parents Charles T. Reynolds and Thelma Joiner Moore; brothers, Charles T. Reynolds and Robert Allen Moore. Sara is survived by her seven children, Dana Register Gantt (George) Port St. Lucie, FL, William “Bill” Register (Debbie) Panama City, FL, Elizabeth Register Sewell (Patrick) of Lake Charles LA, Anne Register Collins (Bayne) Panama City, FL, Charles Register (Angie Cromer) of Panama City, FL, Carol Register Osborne Panama City, FL and Brad Register of Atlanta, GA. Sara and Billy’s legacy include twelve grandchildren and ten great- grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, June 2, 2019 at Southerland Event Center in Lynn Haven.
