Obituary for Rita Jean Hribik (Bernat) Rita Jean Hribik, 89, Tipton died early Wednesday morning May 8, 2019 at Epworth Manor, Tyrone. She was born August 12, 1929 in East Vandergrift, daughter of the late John A. and Frances Bernice (Kezes) Bernat. On Aug. 7, 1954, she married Edward Joseph Hribik at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, East Vandergrift, and he preceded her in death on Feb. 5, 2008. Surviving are two sons, Edward J., Jr. (Terry) of Tyrone and Gary A. (Pamela Meredith) of Tipton; two grandchildren, Brandon M. (Megan Decker) of Tyrone and Krista M. Williams of Lake Elsinore, Calif.; two great grandchildren, Chase and Mia; three brothers, John in Indiana, Richard of Apollo and Edward of Vandergrift; and two sisters, Clara Petras of Boiling Springs and Joan Antenucci of Vandergrift. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Matthew J.; and a brother, Ronald. Rita was a graduate of Vandergrift High School. She was formerly employed as a hoagie maker at Marianna’s Fundraisers, Tipton. Rita was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Bellwood and Slovak C U Club, Ford City. She enjoyed shopping, watching QVC and playing bingo. Friends will be received from 6 to 8 pm Friday, May 10, 2019 at Jon C. Russin Funeral Home, Inc. Bellwood where a vigil for the deceased will also be held. A funeral Mass will be held at 10am Saturday, May 11, 2019 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Bellwood, the Rev. Alan Thomas, celebrant.
