John Allen Morris, Sr., 76, of Clarion, passed away on Monday, May 27, 2019 peacefully at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on August 29, 1942 in New Kensington; son of the late William and Margaret Grimm Morris. John was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a long time Clarion resident and business entrepreneur. John was founder of Clarion Ford Chrysler Dodge Jeep and State College Ford Lincoln of State College, PA. He served for many years on various boards and committees, and had a long affiliation with the Ford dealer advertising board (FDAF). John supported and was involved in many local charities and always believed in giving back to the local communities. He enjoyed traveling, playing golf, being social, and spending time with his family and friends. John lived life to the fullest, and with great passion. He was always known as the eternal optimist and his laugh was “unbelievable”. John is survived by his three children: John Morris, Jr. and his wife Bobbi of State College, Tracie Kriebel and her husband Gary of Clarion, and Gina Batts and her husband Adrian of Irwin and eight grandchildren: Jordan Batts, Julian Batts, Josh Kriebel, Alexa Kriebel, Matthew Morris, Jack Morris, Stella Morris, and Gionna Batts. He is also survived by his siblings: James Morris, Peggy Smith, Betsy Meier, Joe Morris, and Linda Franklin. John was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers: Lee Morris and Robert Morris. The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, May 31, 2019 at the Robert V. Burns Funeral Home in Clarion. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 1, 2019 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Clarion with Rev. Monty Sayers, presiding. Entombment will take place in the Immaculate Conception Mausoleum.
