Gerald “Jerry” Lynn Gentry, 77, passed away Monday, May 20, 2019. He was born August 12, 1941 in Louisville, KY. Jerry honorably served his country in the US Marine Corps. He went on to work as a salesman in the clothing industry. Funeral service 2:00 pm, Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Funeral Home, 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville, KY. Entombment will follow at Resthaven Cemetery with Military Honors. The family will receive relatives and friends prior to the service from 12:00 to 2:00 pm at the funeral home. Surviving: wife, Judy Roof Gentry; daughter, Tonya Perkins (Christopher); son, Lee Kramer (Jennifer); grandchildren: Crystal, Morgan, Landon, Jackson, Colton; brother, Ronnie Gentry; sisters: Debbie Coley (Dennis), Barbara Blankenship (Jerry); uncle, Frank Gentry (Gale); sister-in-law, Ethel Gentry; numerous nieces and nephews; special family friend, Jean Osborne. Jerry was preceded in death by his father, James Roy Gentry; brothers: Timmy Gentry, Bobby Deacon. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Autism Speaks, 1060 State Road, Second Floor, Princeton, NJ 08540.
