William “Billy” F. Cavanaugh, 65, of Lawrence, Massachusetts passed away on Friday, February 15th, 2019 at the Prescott House in North Andover, Massachusetts after a long illness. He was born on February 1st, 1954 in Lawrence, MA, son of the late Robert P. Cavanaugh and Marilyn J. (Cuddy) Cavanaugh and stepfather Bernard J. Donahue. Billy was educated in the local schools of Lawrence and was a 1971 Graduate of Lawrence High School. He worked for General Auto Supply in Lawrence for 20 plus years. He was an avid golfer, enjoyed the Boston Sports Teams and loved his Irish Heritage and the Three Stooges. His family members include his brothers Robert W. Cavanaugh of Mansfield, MA, Kevin B. and his wife Lori Donahue of Stafford, VA, and Brian D. Donahue of Nashua, NH. His step-children Michael Grondin, Daniel Grondin, and Kelsey Grondin. Step Grandchildren Kassidy Grondin, Kaelyn Grondin, Ricky Curtis and Emily Grondin. His nephews Timothy Donahue and Kristopher Donahue. He was predeceased by his Life Partner Eileen “Ducky” Grondin who passed in 2014. Relatives and friends may call on Friday, February 22nd, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the John Breen Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 122 Amesbury Street, Lawrence, MA.
