She was born on Wednesday, September 13, 1939 in Martinsville, Indiana, to the late H and Nancy (Barker) Major. Jeanette was a graduate of Martinsville High School. She worked at the Morgan County Hospital for 33 years in the central sterile department. She is survived by her son, James Malcom and wife Shirley of Martinsville; brother, Jim Major; granddaughter, Kristi Riffle and husband Dan; step granddaughter, Julia Sink; great granddaughters, Gracie Lewis and Jennifer Davis; step great grandchildren, Charlie Lackey and Isabella Jackson. Jeanette was preceded in death by a son, Robert Malcom; her parents, H and Nancy; brother, Wade Stewart. Visitation will be at Costin Funeral Chapel on Friday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Graveside services will be 1:00 p.m. on Saturday at Mt. Olive Fairview Cemetery.
