Florence De Rocco, 92, died at home on Friday, February 22nd, 2019. She was born in Ranshaw, PA and had been a long-time resident of Union, NJ. For the past five years, she has resided in Mountainside, NJ with her loving daughter and son-in-law. Along with spending time with her family, Florence loved to vacation in Las Vegas and Myrtle Beach. Florence was predeceased by her adored husband Joseph and son Edward. She is survived by her daughter Diane Garry (nee De Rocco) and husband Jack, son Joseph De Rocco Jr., and her sister Mildred Poploski. The lights of her life included her granddaughters, Laurie Anne Roof (Chris Roof) and Jessica Klaskin (Matt Klaskin), along with her great-grandchildren Emily and Ryan Roof, who kept her young at heart. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend a viewing at Higgins and Bonner Funeral Home, 582 Springfield Avenue, Westfield NJ, on Sunday February 24th from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, February 25th at 10 AM at Our Lady of Lourdes, 304 Central Avenue Mountainside, NJ.
