Granny Dot went to her Heavenly home on Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at the age of 97. She was a native of Atlanta, Texas and resident of Amite, Louisiana. Granny Dot played dominos extremely well and always won every game. She was a hardworking and independent woman who truly had a heart of gold. Granny Dot adored her family and enjoyed spending as much time with them as she could. She was a wonderful woman who is already deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Granny Dot is survived by her daughter, Georgia Aden (Wendell); sister, Neva Dickerson (S.W.); grandchildren, Deborah Borel (Warren), Sandra Lelleck (Alan), Neda Watts (Maurice), April Assavedo (Roger), and Misty Betz(Jim); 10 great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death are her parents, Claude and Winnie Jackson; grandson, Jerald L. Aden; brothers, Marlin Jackson, Monard Jackson, and Wayne Jackson, and her sister, Loretta Pruitt. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation from the chapel of Brandon G.
