Charles L. Bridges Jr., 62, of Middletown entered into eternal rest suddenly on February 25, 2019 at the M.S. Hershey Medical Center. He was born on January 4, 1957 in Langley VA and was the son of Christine (Huffman) Bridges and the late Charles L. Bridges Sr. Charles was an avid year-round fisherman and was a member of the Middletown Anglers and Hunters. He was also a member of the American Legion Post 594 and the VFW Post 1620, both of Middletown. He was a proud United States Air Force Veteran. Chuck volunteered much of his time to help Veterans in many different ways. One of his favorite things to do was go to the Middletown Home and help their veterans. In addition to his mother, Charles is survived by his loving wife, Vicki Bridges; three sons, Steven and Michael Bridges and William Tolan IV; two sisters Carole Bridges and Connie Waldrop (Bud); several grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. A tribute to his life will be held on Monday, March 4, 2019 at 1:00 PM at the Matinchek Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., Middletown, with the Rev. Dan Gilbert officiating. Viewing will be from 12:00 Noon until the time of services, Monday at the funeral home.
