Aida (Ferreira) Andrade of Taunton, age 63, passed away on January 30, 2019 just one day after her sister Maria Ferreira at Saint Elizabeth Medical Center. Born in Sao Miguel, Azores, she was a daughter of the late Arsenio and Urania (Borges) Ferreira. Mrs. Andrade enjoyed spending time with her family watching soap operas and all sporting events, especially the World Cup. She would always be decked out in all Portuguese flag swag. She was generous, caring, and the life of the party. She is survived by her loving children Amanda Andrade, Haley Andrade, Nicholas Andrade and his significant other Britney Charette and, her siblings; Nelia Sousa, Nair Sousa, Manuela Paiva, Helena Dias, Carlos Ferreira, Mario Ferreira, Fernando Ferreira, Madalena Edwards, and her uncle Jaime Borges. Her grandchildren Rhiley and Avery Andrade were her world. She was the aunt to several nieces and nephews. Aida was the sister of the late Maria “Mia” Ferreira. Loving dog mom of Charlie aka Pookie aka Charlitos. Both Aida’s and her sister Maria Ferreira’s funeral with visitation will be held together on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at 8:30 from the Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square) Taunton, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in Saint Jude the Apostle Church on Whittenton Street in Taunton. Interment will follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery.
