Glenn Milton Shumaker, 80, of Salisbury, PA, died Wednesday, January 30, 2019, at WVU Hospital’s Inc., Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, WV. Born May 31, 1938, in Elk Lick Twp., PA, he was the son of the late Robert Dewey and Beulah Winifred (Hollada) Shumaker. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Wayne and Robert Shumaker; and one sister, Patricia Wisseman. Mr. Shumaker was a foreman in highway construction. He was a member of the Maple Glen Church of the Brethren, the NRA and the Salisbury American Legion and V.F.W. Home Aid Association’s. He is survived by his wife, Jane (Lynn) Shumaker; one son, Michael (Tina) Shumaker, LaVale, MD; one daughter, Sandy (Keith) Filsinger, Eckhart, MD; three brothers, Dale (Wanda) Shumaker, Cumberland, MD; Larry (Ruth) Shumaker, Springs, PA; James (Kathy) Shumaker, Salisbury; special friends, The Resh Family; three grandchildren, Eric Filsinger, Heather Filsinger and Amanda Bosley; four great-grandchildren, Brylee Fazenbaker, Gannon Fazenbaker, Layla Jane Woods and Brixen Bosley. Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 179 Miller St., Grantsville, MD, on Saturday, February 2, 2019, from 3-5 p.m. Funeral services will follow in the funeral home at 5:00 p.m. with the Rev. Daniel Whitacre officiating. Cremation will follow services. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.newmanfuneralhomes.com.
