William (Billy) Tevnan, 73, passed away on Sunday (January 6, 2019) at Care One, Moorestown, NJ. Born in Elizabeth, William lived in Elizabeth since childhood before moving to Maple Shade after his retirement. William was a veteran of the Vietnam War, having served two tours with the US Marine Corps and was employed as a letter carrier with the US Postal Service in Elizabeth for many years before retiring. In his spare time, he enjoyed horse racing and traveling. He was predeceased by his parents, Bernard and Margaret. He is survived by many Glynn cousins and lifelong friends, Al and Athena Potts. Visitation will be at Memorial Funeral Home, 155 South Ave., Fanwood, on Friday, January 11th from 11:00 AM to 12:00 with a prayer service at 12:00.
