Rudolph Arnold Jr., was born on September 3, 1953, and flew into Heaven on December 2, 2018, proceeded in death by both parents and brothers Anthony and Lynell Arnold. Rudy was born in Cleveland, Ohio to the union of the late Rudolph and Betty Arnold Sr.; he was the first of seven children. He accepted Christ at an early age. Rudy graduated from East High School in 1971 where he was popular and well liked. After high school he studied at various schools that included The Ohio State University and a Technical School in Cleveland. He then began working for the U.S. Postal service in 1973, working there for 34 years, retiring on September 3, 2007. In 1974 Rudy married Julia Dukes and from this union, two children were born. Later, in 1993 he wedded Cynthia King (deceased) and in 2000 Geneen Rembert (divorced). Rudy attended The Church of Right Now, where Katrina Cash Hawkins is Pastor. He became a Deacon in 2016. He had a great relationship with his Pastor and served the church well. Rudy was a Percussionist at heart. In High School he participated in the East High Band and was a member of the Cleveland Public School All City High School Band during the 1970-1971 school year. He used to substitute for his father during his drumming gigs, and was also a drum player in his own band, “Eternity” where his musician name was “Heart-beat”. In 1990 Rudy became a member of the Prince Hall Excelsior Lodge No. 11, F &AM where he served as Worshipful Master in 1998. He also participated in the Drum Corp of El Hasa Temple No. 28. Rudy loved various genres of music, fishing, and traveling. He was also very handy. He built a garage by hand with his friend, and was known for his knowledge in auto maintenance. He was generous in giving advice in this area. Rudy was a funny, kind and helpful person. He never met a stranger, and was always willing to assist in one’s time of need. He was quick to make others laugh, as his was infectious, always displaying a memorable smile. He leaves to cherish his memory: son, Steveland Jorell Arnold (Erica); daughter, Syretta Jillian Antwi-Boasiako (Richard); two handsome grandsons, Avery Arnold and Ephraim Antwi-Boasiako: siblings, Michael Arnold, Georgia Wells, Tyrone Arnold, and Marie Satterwhite and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends that love and will miss him dearly.
