Parker Forrest English, a long-time resident of Midwest City, entered heaven on January 29 to be with Jesus, his Savior. The important things to him were following Jesus, loving and leading his family, and praying for others. He was born in 1929 in Clovis, New Mexico to Lawrence and Lucy English. He leaves his loving wife of 64 years, Lavada; his son, Gary English and wife, Dawn; his daughter, Pam English Horst. Grandchildren are Bradley Horst and wife, Gleysi; Rebekah Edwards and husband, Ben; Rachel Litsch and husband, Josh; David English: Elizabeth Schwartz and husband, Dan; Abigail English and fiancé Adam Siwek; and Benjamin English. He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters; Wynelle Crow and LaGene Verhines; and son in law, Dr. Stanley Horst. He was raised in Roswell, New Mexico where he met and fell in love with Lavada. He is a graduate of New Mexico State University. His career was in aerospace engineering. He was a member of Country Estates Baptist Church where he was a long time Sunday School Teacher and deacon. He used his art abilities to make Bible scenery for VBS for many years. In his retirement, he was a watercolor artist and member of the Midwest City Art Guild. He loved spending time in the mountains hiking and trout fishing with his family. A celebration of Parker’s life will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 1, 2019 at Country Estates Baptist Church in Midwest City with interment to follow at Grace Lawn Cemetery.
