Olivia King, age 66, of Evansville IN, quietly went to sleep on Sunday, January 27, 2019, surrounded by her family at home. She was born May 10, 1952 in Evansville, Indiana to the late George and Rosie Miles Thomas. Olivia later moved to Chicago Illinois with her family where she grew up and attended Chicago Public Schools. She worked many years, while raising her children, as a machine operator at Chicago Tribune and Arrow Plating in Chicago until she met and later married Larry King on February 14, 1981. Olivia loved spending time with family and friends, listening to “Oldies,” playing cards and dancing. When she was not doing that, she loved to go to the casino. Olivia was preceded in death by her husband, Larry King; mother, Rosie Holley; father, George Thomas; and three siblings: James, William and Patrice. She leaves to cherish her memory three children: Chandra Thomas (Keith) of Evansville IN, Catherine Horn of Evansville IN, and Cordell Thomas of Chicago IL; two sisters, Maybelle Barnes (Donald) of Evansville IN, and Angela Barnes (Kevin) of Evansville IN; three brothers: Mario Thomas of Broadview IL, Andre Wildy of Evansville IN, and Adrien Wildy of Evansville IN; sixteen grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; a host of aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Services are Saturday, February 2, 2019 at 10:00am at R. Mason Brothers Memorial Chapel with visitation on Friday, February 1, 2019 from 4-6pm also at the chapel. Burial at Oak Hill Cemetery.
