LARRY H. HECKAMAN, age 65, of Canton, passed away Wed. Jan. 2, 2019. Born in Canton, a son of the late Marvin and Joyce (Adams) Heckaman, he had been a life resident of Canton. Larry was a 1971 graduate of Lehman High School and retired in 2007 from the Timken Co. after 31 years service where he was a millwright. He was a member of Greenwood Christian Church where he was a Sunday School Teacher, directed the children’s Christmas Programs, sang in the choir and was active in the drama productions. Larry was a Counselor for Solid Rock Church Camp, President of the Greater Canton Church Bowling League for four years, President of the Canton Baptist Temple Bowling League and he loved to ride motorcycles. Survived by his daughter, Jennifer Heckaman; one son and daughter-in-law, Matthew and Susan Heckaman; three grandchildren, William Heckaman and Alyssa and Haley Howard; one sister and brother-in-law, Linda Gattuso-Childs and Robert Childs; and one brother and sister-in-law, Leslie and Tracie Heckaman. Services will be held Mon at 11 a.m. in Greenwood Christian Church with Pastor Tony Amerine officiating. Friends may call Sun. from 2-4 p.m. in the Formet-Clevenger & Gordon Funeral Home and Mon. one hour before the service, from 10-11 a.m., in the church.
