Helen Mary Bridges January 6, 1917 – January 29, 2019 Helen Mary Bridges passed away at the age of 102 on January 29, 2019 with her loved ones by her side. A longtime resident of Deer Park, TX, Helen was born in Boston, Massachusetts on January 6, 1917 to Michael Mikorzewski and Gladys Mrozek Mikorzewski. She is preceded in death by her husband Charles, and brothers Joe, Anthony, and Stanley and sisters Stella, Josephine, Genevieve, and Kitty. Helen attended St. Rose Catholic High School in Boston, Massachusetts. She worked at the Chelsea Naval Hospital, where she met her husband Charles. They lived in Massachusetts for several years before moving to Pasadena, TX. Helen was a retail employee at Foley’s for 25 years. The most important thing to her was her family and her faith in Jesus Christ. She attended school events, sporting events, graduations, weddings, and the births of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a devoted mother to her four children Alvin (Ann), Barbara (Joe), Glenn, and Marie (William). She was adored by her eight grandchildren Kevin (Sarah), Katie (Joey), Christopher (Meredith), Curtis, Leslie-Ann (Bryan), Ashley (Cameron), Joseph (Sarah), and Daniel (Kelsey). And she was “Gigi” to her twenty great grandchildren Dane, Jake, Landon, Ayden, Emily, Olivia, Kate, Stella, Gracelyn, Levi, Austin, Josh, Beau, Luke, Savannah, Grant, Violet, Kenzie, Charlie, and Addison. Her legacy will live on in those she has left behind. Family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM Friday February 1, 2019 at In His Presence Fellowship, 1202 E. P Street, Deer Park, Texas. Funeral Service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, February 2, 2019 at Grace Bible Church, 6325 Hurst Street, Houston, Texas 77008. Interment Forest Park East Cemetery, Webster, Texas.
