Geoffrey Lee Yoder, 23, Wakarusa, died Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2019 as a result of a truck accident. He was born Aug. 29, 1995 in South Bend, to Charlie & Tammy (Dylewski) Yoder. Surviving are his parents, sisters, Candice (Dacoda New) Yoder, Granger, Katie Yoder, Wakarusa, Clara Yoder, Wakarusa, nephews, Matthew Yoder & Cole New, maternal grandparents, C. Sue Dylewski & Eugene Andrew (Barbara) Dylewski Sr., paternal grandparents, Gordon & Margaret Yoder, his girlfriend, Rachel Carney and her parents, Matt & Diane Carney, Lakeville. Geoffrey was a 2014 graduate of Penn High School and worked as a lead mechanic for Northern Indiana Construction. He was a 10 year Madison Township 4-H member; Junior Volunteer Firefighter for Madison Township Fire Department in high school and a member of Boy Scout Troop #555. Geoffrey loved farming, raising his cows and Dodge Cummins Truck. He was an avid diesel mechanic and attended Olive Mennonite Church. Visitation will be 3-5 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 4, 2019 and 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2019, with the funeral service following at 7 p.m., all at Olive Mennonite Church, 61081 CR 3, Elkhart. Pastors Bob & Enid Schloneger will officiate. Memorial donations may be directed to the Madison Township 4-H or Madison Township Fire Department.
