A graveside service for Faye S. Walker, age 93, of Abbeville La, is scheduled at 12:00 Noon Saturday, January 12, 2019 at Bullard Cemetery in Bullard, Texas. Mrs. Walker passed away Saturday, January 6, 2019 in her home surrounded by her family. Mrs. Walker was born November 13, 1925 in Tyler Texas to Alfonso Culberson and Ida Pearl (Griffin) Sparks. Faye received the salutatorian award with high scholar honors from Winona Public Schools in East Texas. She started her work role… Read More » as a bookkeeper in Tyler, TX when she met and married her husband of 47 years, Harold Dumas Walker, after he returned from World War II. Harold passed away in July, 1993. Faye’s busiest job raising their three daughters with high values on education and development of a strong work ethic. She and Harold’s legacy is having created and nurtured a loving, caring family as each family grew following their daughters’ marriages; overall, producing five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren – Faye, called “Muv” (mother and love combined) is loved by all. She considered her grandchildren and great-grandchildren as though they were her own children. She loved each member of her family more than any life could be loved. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold D. Walker and her parents. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters: Shelia Walker Hall and husband Will III; Charlotte Walker Dupré, and Rebecca Walker Muller; five grandchildren: Walker Dupré and his wife Shannon; William Hall IV and wife McKinzie; Chase Dupré and wife, Becca; Elizabeth Hall Johnson and husband, Jed; Leah Muller Conant and husband, David; six great-grandchildren: Dylan Dupré; Logan Dupré; Katherine Hall; Cami Dupré, Dash Dupré, and Eleanor Faye Hall.
