Carmen Martinez, 85, of Newark, passed away Wednesday, January 30, 2019. She was born in Lares, Puerto Rico, March 9, 1933. to Naya and Cesario Martinez. She is survived by her husband Juan, daughters Maria Torres and Gladys Colon, son Jimmy, granddaughter Veronica, grandsons Danny, Brian, jimmy, and Alex, great granddaughter Evalyse, sister Iris, friend Wanda Ortiz, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Carmen loved her scratch of tickets and playing the Lottery. She enjoyed trips to Atlantic City, coffee with friends and dining out with her family.
