Obituary of Betty Lang Mrs. Betty Ann Lang, age 84 a resident of Auburndale passed away Saturday, January 19, 2019 at Lakeland Regional Mrs. Lang was born December 5, 1934 in Claxton, Georgia to Quince and Berta Lou (Sapp) Massey. She was an Auburndale resident since 1965 coming from Georgia. She was of the Baptist faith (past member of First Missionary Baptist in Auburndale). Betty was a retired assembly line worker for Coca Cola Foods in Auburndale after 26 years of service, and then continued as a Polk County crossing guard for many years until retiring. She was a member of the Winter Haven Moose Lodge, enjoyed yardwork, Bluegrass music, going to KFC and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers – Clarence, Bobby & Randy and sister – Lois. Betty is survived by her loving family; 2 Daughters: Patricia Thompson of Brooklet, GA. Christine (Larry) Nelson of Auburndale, FL. Brother: Michael (Marie) Massey of Glenville, GA. 3 Sisters: Frances Triplett of Auburndale, FL. Shirley Strickland of Claxton, GA. Kay (Don) Jarriel of Reidsville, GA. 6 Grandchildren: Renae, Jerry, Glenn, Sonja, Lisa & Stephanie 9 Gt. Grandchildren: Ashley, Justin, Morgan, Mason, Brad, Evan, Aiden, Camden & Aria Visitation will be Wednesday, January 23, 2019 from 4:00 until 6:00 pm at Kersey Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 10:00 am Thursday, January 24, 2019 at the funeral home with interment to follow at Auburndale Memorial Park.
