William Bill Michael Werzen 2018

Bill Werzen, 64, of Roseland, passed away on December 25, 2018. Born in Paterson, Bill was raised in Hawthorne and graduated from Paterson Catholic High School. He then went on to attend the University of Dayton. Bill resided in West Orange before moving to Roseland. He was employed with Nabisco Co. of East Hanover from 1974 to 2011, retiring as Senior Systems Analyst. Bill played on the Nabisco golf team and was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Lake R.C. Church in Verona. He was predeceased by his parents, Bernard and Catherine Werzen. Survivors include: his beloved wife, Denise Makri-Werzen; three devoted children, Shannon Leigh Werzen; William Robert Werzen and Lauraleigh Ashley Werzen; three brothers, Bob Werzen and his wife, Pawn, Jack Werzen and Craig Werzen and his wife Mary Alice; two nephews, Daniel Joel Werzen and Michael Werzen; one niece, Dr. Alissa Sheila Werzen; his God-daughter, Megan Byrn-Wilson; his in-laws, Bob and Irene Makri; and his beloved pet pig, Gypse Werzen. Visiting hours will be held Friday from 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday 1:30 pm at Our Lady of the Lake R.C. Church, 32 Lakeside Avenue, Verona. Please meet at church and a private cremation will follow Mass. Kindly omit flowers.
