North Greenbush – Sergeant First Class Kevin James Hindes, 44, of Hampton Place Blvd. died suddenly Thursday, December 6, 2018. Born in Honolulu, Hawaii, he was son of Clyde J. ‘Chip’ Hindes and Janice M. Leber Hindes of West Sand Lake and husband for 7 years of Haleigh K. Muskopf Hindes. He had resided in Troy and was a 1993 graduate of Darrow School in New Lebanon and attended Hudson Valley Community College and The College of Saint Rose. Kevin was a soldier in the Army National Guard serving at Joint Forces Headquarters, Watervliet Arsenal. He proudly served in the Marine Corps for 8 years prior to his service in the Army. Kevin served a total of 22 years, reaching the rank of Sergeant First Class. Survivors in addition to his wife and parents include his brother, Ryan Hindes, West Sand Lake; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Barbara and Richard Muskopf, Saratoga Springs; his sister-in-law, Sydney (Scott) Messemer, Denver, CO; nephew and niece, Maxwell and Morgan Hindes and his paternal grandmother, Melva N. Hindes, Turnersville, NJ. Relatives and friends may call at the Brunswick Church 42 White Church Lane Troy on Sunday, December 9, 2018 from 1:30-4PM with a funeral service at 4PM.
