Oma Lou Leatherwood 2018

Oma Lou Moore Leatherwood Loving Friend Waynesville-Oma Lou Leatherwood, 73, passed away peacefully on December 25, 2018 at Haywood Regional Medical Center. She was preceded in death by parents, James and Ethel Moore; brother James Robert Moore; and uncle, Alley Moore. Oma Lou is survived by her husband of 40 years, Robert Leatherwood; two nieces, Tina Mathis and Christy Medford; three nephews, Rusty and Robbie Moore and Ben Medford; four great nieces, McKenna Moore, Paige Medford, and Kaitlyn and Kristyn Ray; one great nephew, Colton Moore; and many loving friends. She worked as a Bookkeeper for the Town of Hazelwood and Ingles and was a member of Richland Missionary Baptist Church. Oma Lou was a loving person who would help anyone in need. She loved animals especially her seven cats, loved to paint and do crafts, and watch her favorite soap opera General Hospital. A Celebration of Life date and time will be announced.
