Obituary of Laura Elizabeth Rabideau Laura Elizabeth Rabideau, 97, of Bay City, our sweet, musically talented, devoted, and sometimes particular mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother was born into eternal life on the evening of Saturday, December 15, 2018 at Bay Shores Senior Care & Rehab. Laura was born in Bay City on April 15, 1921, the daughter of the late Abraham and Pearl (Corliss) Rich. While working at General Motors, Laura met Thomas Rabideau. They dated, fell in love, and were united in marriage on June 24, 1950. Laura loved to play the piano and was a talented gardener, with a particular affection for growing violets. She also enjoyed cooking and taking drives in her Buick. Laura leaves to cherish her memory, her sons: Michael (Bonnie) Rabideau, Brian (Cindy) Rabideau, Kevin Rabideau, and her daughters-in-law, Michelle Rabideau and Beth Rabideau. She was the loving grandma of Jared, Matthew, Christopher, Jennifer, Eric (Megan), Lauren, Logan, Aaron (M.J.), Benjamin (Jenna), and Ethan (Lynn) Rabideau. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her great-grandchildren, Kaleb, Kingston, and Addyson, along with many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Laura was welcomed home to heaven by her husband, Thomas; son, Darrin Rabideau; siblings, Elenor (Carl) Festerling, Edward (Doris) Rich, and in-laws, Rev. Fr. Richard Rabideau and JoAnn (Gerald) Steele. Laura’s family will be present to receive visitors on Friday, December 21, 2018 from 1:00 PM until Laura’s 2:00 PM Funeral Ceremony at Skorupski Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 955 N. Pine Rd., Hampton Twp. The Rite of Committal will be held privately in Calvary Cemetery, Kawkawlin. Memorial contributions may be directed to the wishes of the family.
