Ganaros August 14, 1923 – December 19, 2018 Share this obituary View/Sign Guest Book Fottie Emanuel Ganaros, beloved husband of 46 years to Ruth Ellenor (Wilkinson) Ganaros, passed away peacefully at his home while surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday December 19, 2018. He born in Hartford, son of the late Emanuel Phillip and Mary (Morris) Ganaros and was a resident and longtime businessman of Middletown, CT. Fottie served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II in the European Theater and took part in the D Day Invasion of France. Fottie is survived by his sons, Michael Ganaros of Middletown, James Ganaros and his wife Anita of Middletown, daughter, Gail Ganaros and her husband Daniel Clark of Middletown, grandchildren, Cassandra, Amber, Andrew Ganaros of Rockfall, and a niece, Mary Paulene Heron of Hamden. He was predeceased by his parents, loving wife, Ruth, son Walter Phillip Ganaros, brother, Anthony Ganaros, sisters, Esther (Fraser) Ganaros, Irene Ganaros, nieces, Deborah and Mary Beth Fraser, nephews, Peter and Steven Ganaros. The family would like to give thanks to the Middle Hospice nurses, his primary doctor of many years, Dr Douglas and his longtime home care aid Lawrentia Bediako. Calling hours will be held on Thursday December 27th from 4 to 6 p.m. followed by a funeral service at 6 p.m. at Biega Funeral Home, 3 Silver St. Middletown.
