Dorothy Carrier Walters, 89, of Stanford, KY passed away on Wednesday, December 12, 2018. Born on November 21, 1929 to the late Lucian A. Jenkins and the late Helen Marie Reed Jenkins, she was the widow of the late James Craig Carrier and the late Jake Walters. She was a member of Fairview Baptist Church in Waynesburg, KY. She taught Sunday school at Mt. Moriah Christian Church. During her life she had worked as a seamstress at Palm Beach in Danville, KY. Survivors include one daughter, Jone Allen (Barry) of Stanford, KY; a step son, Jake Walters, Jr.; one step daughter, Nancy Walters; one sister, Joyce Carrier of Highland, KY; one sister-in-law, Alfreda Jenkins of Highland, KY; five grandchildren, Scott Carrier (Gretchen), Misti Davis (John), Steve Walters (Jennifer), Aaron Anderson (Ashley) and Destiny Anderson; ten great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by one son, Mike Carrier and three brothers, Kenny Jenkins, Carl Jenkins and Jim Jenkins. Visitation will be on Friday, December 14, 2018 from 11-1 p.m. at Spurlin Funeral Home in Stanford, KY. Funeral Services will be on Friday, December 14, 2018 at 1 p.m. at Spurlin Funeral Home in Stanford, KY with Rev. David Conrades officiating the service. Burial will follow at Mt. Moriah Christian Church Cemetery in Highland, KY. Active Pallbearers are Aaron Anderson, Scott Carrier, Gatlin Carrier, Sawyer Carrier, Bo Turner and Barry Allen. Honorary Pallbearers are Gary Jenkins, Keith Jenkins, Richard Otto and Mike Singleton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Mt. Moriah Christian Church Cemetery Fund.
