Obituary of Chris Lapp On Thursday, December 13th, 2018, Chris Dee Lapp passed away at the age of 52. Chris was born on October 12, 1966 in Columbus, Ohio. She relocated to Deland, FL in 1979 with her parents Robert and Patricia Brown. She was a graduate of Deland High School, attended Stetson University and went on to work as a cook and then for the United States Postal Service for 23 years. She loved to dance and always sang in the car; she enjoyed going to the theme parks with her grandkids, taking trips with her husband and girl getaways with her friends. She loved the beach, her dogs and cat. Chris was a talented cook who enjoyed hosting parties in her home and spending time with her family and friends. Chris was preceded in death by her father Robert Brown and sister Patricia (Brown) Ward. She is survived by her husband Robert Lapp, mother, Patricia Brown, sister, LeeAnn (Sostene) Codispoti; her children, Monica (Philip) Everetts, Amy (Tim) Deaton, Alan (Serena) Lapp; Grandchildren, Alexis North, Archer Everetts, Caroline Everetts, Ashley Deaton, Lily Deaton, Zac Deaton, Jonathan Lapp, Kaley Lapp, Tobin Lapp, and many nieces and nephews, and close friends. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, December 29th 2018 at Lankford Funeral Home in Deland, FL. Visitation will be at 10 am with a funeral ceremony at 11am. Donations can be made in memory of Chris to Florida Hospital Hospice Care.
