Ora Koch 2018

Ora M. Koch, 95, of Shillington, passed away on October 15, 2018 at Manor Care Sinking Spring. Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Eva (Pellicciotti) Baragone. Ora was employed as a collar turner for David Manufactures of Reading for 31 years. She was a member of the Red Hats Pretzeletts and the Golden Ages Senior Group of Mohnton. She was predeceased by her husband Claude Koch; daughter: Debra A. Simpson, Son: Bruce E. Sands, brother: Eugene Baragone; Sisters: Rosie Greene, wife of Warren, Anna Raffanelli, wife of Floyd, Jackie Meiran, wife of William and Patricia Luckenbill, widower of Robert. Survivors include her sons: Nelson R. Sands, husband of Rosemary of Sinking Spring and David A. Sands, husband of Patricia of Sinking Spring. Also surviving are 5 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren; sisters: Miriam DeStasio and Sandra Svitanna, wife of Erich. Funeral Services will be held at Bean Funeral Home, 129 E. Lancaster Ave., Shillington, on Friday, October 19, 2018 at 11:00AM. The family will receive friends and relatives from 10-11:00AM.
