Mr. Larry William Watson, Sr., 73, passed away Thursday, October 25, 2018 at Shore Health and Rehabilitation Center, in Parksley, VA. A native and lifelong resident of Parksley, Larry was born April 15, 1945 to the late John William Watson and Jessie Savage Watson. Larry served his country in the United States National Guard and was a retired carpenter. He enjoyed working in his yard, and was especially proud of his Coy fish pond. He had a great love for all animals and adored his dog, “Eddie” and cat, “Missy.” He leaves his dear friends to cherish his memory – Jimmy Nickerson, Terry Collins, A.J. Stokes, Sidney Sherwood, George Fulk, and many others who have been by his side over the last year as he courageously battled cancer. Funeral services will be conducted from the chapel of the Williams-Parksley Funeral Home on Sunday, October 28, 2018 at 4:00 p.m., with Pastor Sam Welch officiating. Private interment will be held in the Wachapreague Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Larry’s memory to the S.P.C.A., P.O. Box 164, Onley, VA 23418.
