Obituary for Jerry Ann Beard Jerry Ann Beard, 67, of Florence, passed away on Monday, September 24, 2018. Ms. Beard was born a daughter of the late Cora Bowden Beard and Charles “Alvie” H. Beard. She was a graduate of Cedar Grove High School, Cedar Grove, WV. She worked with Kanawha Banking & Trust, West Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles and West Virginia National Guard in Charleston, WV. Ms. Beard loved the beach, collecting sea shells and ink wells and bottles, touring historical sites, competing in martial arts where she received the rank of Rokkyu. Ms. Beard is survived by her brothers, Charles H. Beard, Jr. (Rita) of Dalzell, SC, David Beard (Debra) of Glen Ferris, WV and Jack Beard (Brenda) of Cedar Grove, WV; her sister, Jeannie Salyer of Brownstown, IN; nieces, Shelley, Laura, and Andrea; and nephews, Jack, Jr. and Chuck Memorials may be made to American Lung Association, 44-A Markfield Drive Charleston, SC 29407.
