OBITUARY William Lee Van Mechelen January 14, 1972 – September 2, 2018 William Lee Van Mechelen January 14, 1972 – September 5, 2018 Billy Van Mechelen passed away at the age of 46 on September 2, 2018. He was born in Wenatchee Washington on January 14, 1972 to mother Gaye Ellen (Greenleaf) Brown and father William Charles Van Mechelen. He graduated from Snohomish High School in 1990. After graduating he attended a Technical College in Phoenix, Arizona studying in the field of air conditioning and refrigeration. After completing his studies, he worked for Hussmann Refrigeration for several years. Billy’s most recent employment was as a self-employed handyman. Billy loved the Lord and is at peace with Him now. He had a loving spirit and was always willing to lend a helping hand to others. Billy especially enjoyed the children in his life. He had a special fondness for watching his son, Brendan’s high school football games. Another favorite was watching his niece, Zena race quads. He will be greatly missed by his family. He is survived by his son, Brendan Van Mechelen, step-daughter Chantelle Hess, sisters Jennifer Van Mechelen and Chelsea Brown, his mom Gaye Brown, his dad Bill Van Mechelen, niece Christina Van Mechelen-Harvey (husband, Blake Harvey), niece Zena Smith, and nephew Owen Denton. A celebration of life is scheduled for Friday, September 14, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Mountain View Community Church, 12033 Seattle Hill RD, Snohomish WA.
