Obituary for Wanda Smith Marietta – Wanda Fern Smith, 83 of Marietta, was born December 25, 1934 in Wilson, OK to the late Mr. George Parks Idleman and Mrs. Mary Alta (Christian) Idleman. She departed from this life on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 in Marietta. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander-Gray Crematory. Wanda Fern was raised at Wilson attending school here where she graduated. She worked several jobs within the community including being a dispatcher for Wilson and Lone Grove Police Departments, city clerk assistant. tag agency of Healdton and the Mistle Tow Express of Wilson. Wanda Fern married William Floyd “Blinky” Smith on December 22, 1961 in Gainesville, TX. He preceded her in death on August 17, 1985. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Wilson and the Eastern Star of Wilson Chapter #369. Wanda Fern was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Camilla; brothers, J.T., Sherman and Wilson. She is survived by her daughter, Donna Martin and Randy Sloan of Ringling; son, Mike “Buster” Cohoon and wife Evelyn of Marietta; grandchildren, Brandon Martin and wife Melanie and Amy Wade and husband Brandon of Ringling; great grandchildren, Dustin, Mariah, Brice, Kye and Knox and other family and friends.
