Obituary for Thomas J. Martin Sr Albany-Thomas J. Martin Sr., 85, entered Eternal Life Friday, August 31, 2018 in Albany County Nursing Home. Born in Albany, he was the son of the late Thomas F. and Ruth Moore Martin. Tom was a proud Korean War US Marine Corps veteran. He retired after a long career with Albany County serving as an assistant Medicaid director. He was an avid NY Yankees fan, and enjoyed history, politics and reading. But more than all these things, Tom loved family cookouts and spending time with everyone. He was the husband of the late Geraldine L. Anziano Martin; father of Colleen M. Lobb (Jeff) and the late Thomas Martin Jr and David Martin; beloved grandfather of Tom Martin (Melissa), Anthony Martin (Meghan), David Martin Jr, Matthew Martin, Kristopher Martin, Nick Martin, Meghan Lobb and Brendan Lobb; several great grandchildren survive. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Thomas’s family Tuesday, September 4, 2018 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm in McVeigh Funeral Home, 208 North Allen Street, Albany, NY 12206. Funeral services Wednesday, September 5, 2108 at 8:15 am in McVeigh Funeral Home, Albany thence to All Saints Catholic Church, Albany at 9:00 am where his Funeral Mass will be celebrated.
