Teresa Ann Marie Dale Teresa Ann Marie Dale, age 75, of Tucker, Georgia, formerly of Atkinson, Geneseo, and Erie, Illinois, passed away on Friday, September 14, 2018, at Northlake Gardens Assisted Living and Memory Care in Tucker, Georgia. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, September 20, 2018 at Vandemore Funeral Home in Atkinson, Illinois. A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Thursday, September 20, 2018 at Vandemore Funeral Home, prior to the service. Burial will take place in St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery, Atkinson, Illinois. Memorials may be given to the Erie Food Pantry, PO Box 689, Erie, Illinois, 61250 in Teresa’s memory. Family and friends are invited to share in Teresa’s life at www.vandemorefuneralhome.com. Teresa was born on May 21, 1943, the beloved daughter of Clarence and Mathilda (Desbro) Van De Woestyne. She attended Atkinson High School and graduated with the Class of 1961. She married Dennis Jones on June 29, 1962 in St. Anthony Catholic Church, Atkinson. She later married Thomas Dale on October 9, 1999 in Geneseo. Tom died on November 1, 2015, in Erie, Illinois. Teresa worked as a bookkeeper for several local businesses in the area. In 1999, Teresa and her husband, Tom built a home and retired in Erie. She enjoyed the outdoors, primarily gardening and working in her yard. She also enjoyed visiting with her friends, neighbors and playing cards, mostly Rummy. She loved her family and cherished holidays together, especially when the kids would come home for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Teresa will be dearly missed by her two children, Dan (wife, Juliana Cyril) Jones of Atlanta, Georgia and Brenda (husband, Steve Wilkinson) Jones of Somers, New York; one granddaughter, Josie Wilkinson; and one sister, Lois (Robert) Garcia of Erie. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Mathilda; and one infant brother, William Joseph Van De Woestyne.
