Obituary for Sue Annette Almond Sue Annette Almond, age 81 of Chanute, KS, passed away on September 17, 2018 in Chanute, KS. She was born on July 11, 1937 in Chanute, KS, the daughter of Maurice and Florence (Shirck) Hummer. Sue married John “Buddy” Almond on November 10, 1956 in Miami OK. Sue loved watching her kids and grandkids play sports and especially enjoyed family game night. She also enjoyed helping out at Vacation Bible School. Sue was a member of the Chanute Church of the Nazarene. Sue is survived by Sons: John “Randy” Almond and wife Karen Jeff Almond and wife Reyna Mike Almond Daughter: Roni Bockover and husband Jim Robyn Almond and husband Randy Doty Teri Showalter Brother: Dwight Hummer 13 Grandchildren 27 Great-Grandchildren: Sue was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sisters: Colleen Wyatt and Velma Morris, and brother, Paul Hummer A visitation will be held on Thursday, September 20, 2018 from 6 – 8 p.m. at the Countryside Funeral Home Johnson Chapel 101 N.
