Shirley E. Kloss, 84, of Merrill, passed away Thursday, September 20, 2018 at Pine Crest Nursing Home, Merrill. Shirley was born September 24, 1933, in Merrill, daughter of the late Paul and Elizabeth (Kemp) Neubauer. She married Harvey Kloss on May 16, 1953, in Merrill. He preceded her in death on January 23, 1993. Shirley had worked as a receptionist at various dental and medical offices in Merrill. She was a member of St. Stephens United Church of Christ, Merrill, and enjoyed… Read More » being involved in a variety of church groups. Shirley also enjoyed crafting, canning, trips to the casino, traveling and going on cruises. Survivors include two daughters, Laurie Chartier (Gary Krahn) of Merrill and Cindy (Patrick) Vair of Merrill; one son, Greg Kloss of Merrill; four grandchildren, Jordan Vair of Merrill, Justin (Alyssa) Vair of Waukesha, Nicole Elsholtz of Merrill and Mathew Davis of Merrill; two great-grandchildren, Alexis Elsholtz and Julian Vair; and one sister, Marge (Ed) Hinke of Irma. Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Kloss; parents, Paul and Elizabeth Neubauer; and siblings, Lois Paul, Clarence Neubauer, Robert Neubauer and Mildred Lauder. The funeral service for Shirley will be at 11:00 A.M. Monday, September 24, 2018 at St. Stephens United Church of Christ, Merrill. Rev. Kyle Carnes will officiate. Burial will take place in Merrill Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. Sunday at the Taylor-Stine Funeral Home, Merrill, and after 10:00 A.M.
