Obituary for Scott Arthur Kean Scott Arthur Kean of St. James, Missouri passed away on Sunday, August 19, 2018 at the Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri at the age of 53. Scott was born in St. Charles, Missouri on October 6, 1963 the only child of Walter, and Eveyln (Mathena) Kean. Scott proudly served in the United States Army. On December 12, 2015 Scott married the love of his life, Jeannie Walker, they were joined with five children, his two, and her three. They moved just out of town and enjoyed “country living”. He enjoyed feeding the deer, and watching them come to eat; sitting on the porch and having morning coffee with his sweet Jeannie. They were always together, not because they had to be, but they truly enjoyed each others company. In the spring they couldn’t wait to get outside and plant gardens, both flower and vegetable. They nurtured and tended the vegetable gardens and were proud to share the fruits of their labor with family and friends. Scott was a fighter and fought the battle of heart disease with Jeannie by his side. The entire 11 weeks Scott was at Barnes-Jewish, Jeannie was right beside him, his biggest cheerleader. Scott will be sadly missed by Jeannie, and their family and friends. Scott is survived by his adored wife, Jeannie Kean of the home; children, Edward Kean, of Sullivan, MO, and Kortney Timmerman, of Sullivan, MO; bonus children, John Miller, of Maryville, IL, James Miller and wife Sara, of Union, MO, and Rebecca Teague and husband Josh, of Sofia, NC; grandchildren, Christopher, and Evee; a host of extended family and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter, and Evelyn Kean. Funeral services for Scott Arthur Kean will be held on Sunday, August 26, 2018 at 2:00 PM at the St. James Chapel of the James & Gahr Mortuary with Brother Don Mitchell officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be held at the Chapel on Saturday, August 25, 2018 from 4-7PM. Burial will be at a later date at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Waynesville, MO.
