Ruth “Bernice” Flood, 94, of Brandywine, MD, formerly of Salley, South Carolina passed away in Brandywine on August 28, 2018. Ruth was born on June 19, 1924 in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Roy and Marguerite Voris Albright. She married Albert Sherwood Flood and the couple had one son and three daughters. Ruth is survived by her daughters, Karen Croce of North Beach, MD; Gwendolyn (Michael) Moore of Brandywine, MD and Holly Fuller of Augusta, GA; 11 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. Her husband, Albert; son, Gary and brothers, Bill and Bud Albright predeceased her. Ruth was a homemaker who enjoyed gardening and singing. She played both the harmonica and the piano. She was a devout Christian who was very active in her church, Rocky Grove Baptist Church in Salley, South Carolina. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to one’s local Salvation Army.
