Ronald I. Burton Jr., 56, of Main Street, Ashaway, passed away on Tuesday morning, Sept. 18, 2018 at his home. He is survived by his daughter, Emily M. Burton, of Wood River Junction, R.I.; his daughter, Amy L. Burton, of Wood River Junction, R.I.; his sister, Marie Perkins and his nephews, Eric Perkins, Shane Perkins, and Zack Campbell; and a brother, Richard Burton and his nephew Nick Burton. Mr. Burton was born in Westerly on Aug., 18, 1962, the son of the late Ronald (Pep) I. Burton Sr., and Mary (Crandall) Burton of Westerly, R.I. Ronald was a truck driver for many years at Exeter Scrap Metal and MJ Murphy. Ron was an avid NASCAR fan and attended races at several Northeast tracks. He also enjoyed snowmobiling. He will be greatly missed by his daughters, whom he loved very much. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 26 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Rushlow-Iacoi Funeral Home & Crematory, 64 Friendship St., Westerly. Burial will be private.
