Robert I. Zartman 84, Macy, Indiana, passed away at 10:45 A.M. Tuesday August 28, 2018 at Community Howard Regional Hospital, Kokomo, Indiana. He was born on February 9, 1934 in Fulton, Indiana, the son of William Gordon and Anna (Gooch) Zartman. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving during the Korean War. On May 27, 1995 in Kokomo, Indiana, he married Marilyn Diane Brown. She preceded him in death on April 27, 2015. Mr. Zartman retired from Delco Electronics in Kokomo, Indiana and had also been engaged in farming for many years. In his free time, he was an avid Indiana University basketball supporter. Survivors include his daughter, Samantha and husband David Laird, Macy, Indiana, grandchildren, Lindsey and husband Travis Scott, Westchester, Ohio, Lauren Shelburne and companion Daryle, Villa Hills, Kentucky, Abigail Kerr and companion Runan, Dayton, Ohio, great grandchildren, Adrianna, Marlee, Brennin, Zander, Carter, Norah and Darrah. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, William “Buss” Zartman Jr. Private graveside services and burial with military honors were conducted at Plainview Cemetery, Macy, Indiana.
