OBITUARY Rita E. Ritter January 7, 1948 – August 30, 2018 Rita E. Ritter, age 70, of Kenner, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on Thursday August 30th, 2018 with her family at her side. Rita was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on January 7th, 1948. She was preceded in death by her parents, Louise and Thomas Evans and two brothers Steve and Jerry Evans. She is survived by her brother, Donald W. Evans, her two sons, Daniel J. Ritter and Kenneth L. Ritter, grandson Maximus A. Ritter, ex-husband and lifelong friend Louis A. Ritter, Jr. and several nieces and nephews. Rita was a life-long resident of Jefferson Parish and a loving mother, grandmother, wife, and friend. When not raising her children, Rita was a volunteer school teacher and sales professional. She enjoyed reading, spending time with her family, and watching Saints and LSU football. Visitation will be at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Blvd., Metairie, Louisiana from 11am-1pm on Wednesday September 5th, 2018 with a brief Memorial Service and celebration of Rita’s life at 1pm. A graveside burial will follow the service at Jefferson Memorial Gardens, 11316 River Road, St. Rose, Louisiana.
