Mr. Remer R. NeSmith, 69, of Metter, died Tuesday evening September 11, 2018 at his residence; surrounded by his loving family. Mr. NeSmith was a life long resident of Metter. He graduated from Swainsboro Tech, with an Electrical & Industrial Systems diploma. He worked several years at ITT Ginnell and Brooks Instruments in Statesboro. He also worked for Colley Ford Tractor and was a volunteer firefighter for the City of Metter for several years. Mr. NeSmith was proceeded in death by his parents, Mr. Thomas Leon and Mrs. Edgie Lanis Lynn Ne Smith. Also, proceeding Mr. NeSmith in death were nine brothers and three sisters. Mr. NeSmith is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Sylvia Elaine NeSmith. Three sons Paul (Katie) NeSmith, Leslie Heath, Daniel Cordero Jr., And, six daughters Sharon (David) Hudson, Jessica (Kenneth) Lee, Melissa Cordero , Amber (Roberto) Landero, Nita Cordero, Rhonda (Alex) Diakogiannis. Pallbearers will be Mike NeSmith, Brandon Hudson, Jonathan NeSmith, Greg NeSmith, Frankie Carter, and Kenneth Lee Jr.. Visitation for Mr. NeSmith will be Thursday, September, 13 2018, from 6-8 pm at the funeral home. The funeral will be conducted at Wood Funeral Home, Friday morning at 11am., with Rev. Ralph Carlyle and Rev. Alex Diakogiannis officiating.
