Obituary for Penelope Jeanne “Penny” Brown Penelope Jeanne “Penny” Brown, 74, of Butler died Monday September 24, 2018 in the Butler Memorial Hospital. She was May 31, 1944 in Jeannette a daughter of the late Oliver and Alice (Peebles) Brown. Penny was retired from the Society of Automotive Engineers as an Executive Assistant. She was a member of the Gospel Fellowship Presbyterian Church, of Valencia. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, The Amarnath International and The White Shrine of Jerusalem, Grove City. She was a graduate of the Norwin High School class of 1962. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by a brother Wayne R. Brown Sr, and a sister Alice Bruner. Surviving are a sister-in-law Betty Brown, of Irwin and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday and 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the Ott Funeral Home Inc. 805 Pennsylvania Avenue Irwin at which time a funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel.
