Obituary for Pastor Billy Paul Cain Funeral services for Pastor Billy Paul Cain, 65, of Henderson, will be at 10:30am, Fri., Sept. 14, 2018, at Henderson Metro Church with Pastor Jerry Phelps and Dr. Gaylan Claunch officiating. Interment will follow at Rusk Country Memorial Gardens under the direction of Crawford-A. Crim Funeral Home of Henderson. Pastor Billy Paul passed away on Tues., Sept. 11, 2018, in his home on Lake Striker. He was born July 15, 1953, in Athens. He grew up under the ministry of Brother and Sister O.B. Cook at Malakoff First Assembly, and surrendered his life to the Lord in 1971. Pastor Billy Paul served in full-time ministry for over 45 years. He spent his ministry as a traveling evangelist and pastor along with his wife, Donna. In 1990, he and his family moved to Henderson and founded Henderson Metro Ministries, where he faithfully served as Senior Pastor for 28 years. Pastor Billy Paul served as chaplain for Crims Chapel Fire Department and Angel Care Hospice. Visitation will be from 6 – 8 pm, Thur, Sept 13, at Henderson Metro Church. He was preceded in death by his mother, Viola Faye Cain of Henderson, and father, Paul Dean Cain of Malakoff. Survivors include: wife, Donna Cain of Henderson; daughter and son-in-law, Natalie and Matt Elmore of Henderson; son and daughter-in-law, Nathan and Kc Cain of Sherman; son and daughter-in-law, Nick and Kacy Cain of Goliad; daughter, Nancie Cain of Henderson; sister, Deana Gruver and husband Bruce of Richardson; step-mother, Dewinca Cain of Mabank; nine grandchildren, Wyatt Cain, Jasey Cain, Jackson Cain, Ethan Cain, Landan Elmore, Lexi Elmore, Miller Cain, Kerrigan Cain, and Slade Elmore. Pallbearers will be elders and deacons of Henderson Metro Church, Bobby Spencer, Lee Lewis, Oscar Johnson, Jim Barton, Terry Parker, Dave McNally, and Tom Comer. Honorary pallbearers will be his grandsons, Wyatt Cain, Jackson Cain, Ethan Cain, Landan Elmore, Miller Cain, and Slade Elmore.
