Oscar Lewis Williams of Atlanta, GA and formerly of Sevierville, TN, passed away peacefully in the early hours of September 6, 2018, after a struggle with failing health. Oscar was born on January 24, 1923 to Edna Kansada Williams and Oscar Lewis Williams Sr. of Sevierville, Tennessee. Oscar served as a navigator in a B17 in the 8th Air Force during WWII. He was a founding member of the 119th TAC Air National Guard in Alcoa, TN where he served until 1962 when he retired at the rank of Major. He was a devoted husband to the love of his life, Myrtle Howard, also of Sevierville, TN, who passed away in 2005. They enjoyed 60 years of marriage. He was the devoted father to four children, daughters Terri W. Goldstein, Sandra W. Gadd, Jan W. Masey and son Robin L. K. Williams all of Atlanta, GA, and very fond of his three son in-laws Paul, Ham and Bill. He was a loving grandfather of eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren, and uncle to numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by two sisters and five brothers. For those who wish in lieu of flowers may make donations to the Alzheimer’s Association or charity of your choice. The family will receive friends 1-2 PM Sunday, September 9, 2018 at Atchley Funeral Home with a funeral service to follow at 2 PM in the Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home, Sevierville. Rev.
