OBITUARY Olga Medina Sada July 8, 1922 – August 30, 2018 Olga Medina Sada was born July 8, 1922 to Nonato R. Medina and Maria Villarreal Medina in Laredo Texas and passed away August 30, 2018 in Sugar Land at the age of 96 with her family by her side. She graduated from Laredo’s Martin High School and went to work for the FW Woolworth Company. She met her husband Juan G. Sada while he was stationed as a Sergeant at the Army Air Force Base in Laredo during World War II. They were married on April 26, 1942 and shared many wonderful years together until his passing on October 12, 2000. They would move to Houston in 1957 where she continued with her career at Woolworth as a Bookkeeper and Control Office Manager until her retirement in 1989 after working for the company 48 1/2 years. Her interests included travel, reading, cooking, and gardening but her favorite activity was spending time with family. She was preceded in death by her husband Juan G. Sada, her daughter Sylvia M. Sada, and her sister Ofelia Medina. She is survived by her grandson Michael Taylor and his wife Terri Taylor of Richmond TX, along with great grandchildren Audrey Taylor and Nathan Taylor of Richmond, granddaughter Leslie Taylor of Oroville CA; and by her sister Belia Barrera of Corpus Christi. The family will receive guests for the visitation at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home at 1pm on Tuesday September 4th; the funeral service will immediately follow at 2pm.
