Neil McElwee 2018

Neil M. McElwee, 63, of Susquehanna Township, passed away Tuesday September 18, 2018 at Carolyn’s House Hospice Residence. Born November 9, 1954, in Harrisburg, he was a son of the late Cornelius and Dolores (Yenason) McElwee. After earning his Bachelor’s degree from Penn State, Neil worked in the Telecommunications Industry for many years. A member of Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Church, Harrisburg, he enjoyed spending time with his family – especially attending the various sporting events in which his nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews were involved. Neil is survived by a sister, Catherine A. McElwee, of Harrisburg, sister-in-law Jeannie McElwee, brother-in-law Mark Hochendoner, his nieces and nephews; Patrick, Dori, A.J, Erin, Kristina and Heather and their families. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Sharon C. McElwee and Maureen M. Hochendoner, and brothers, Patrick J. McElwee and Aloysius J. McElwee. Services for Neil, and interment in Holy Cross Cemetery, are at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to either Carolyn’s House c/o Hospice of Central Pennsylvania, 1320 Linglestown Road, Harrisburg, PA 17110 (hospiceofcentralpa.org) or to Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Church, 2121 N. 3rd Street, Harrisburg, PA 17110 (olbsharrisburg.org).
