Mr. Nathan Kelly, age 82, of Jackson passed away Friday, September 28, 2018. He was born in Jasper County on May 23, 1936 to the late Aubet and Odessa Kelly who have preceded him in death. Mr. Kelly graduated from Monticello High School and joined the United States Air Force. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, he raised animals and enjoyed being outdoors. Mr. Kelly was a Georgia Bulldog fan and a fan of the Atlanta Braves. He was an active member of Eastside Baptist Church where he served as deacon. Mr. Kelly is survived by his wife Carolyn Kelly, his son and daughter-in-law Keith and Pam Kelly of Newborn his daughter and son-in-law Natalie and Mark Rafferty of Atlanta his grandchildren Laura Rotroff, Brad Kelly, True Rafferty, Quinn Rafferty, and Blythe Rafferty his great grandchildren James Rotroff and Martha Kelly his brother and sister-in-law Terrell and Joan Kelly of McDonough along with numerous other family and close friends. Funeral services for Mr. Kelly will be held at 3:30 PM Sunday, September 30, 2018 at Eastside Baptist Church, 1070 Keys Ferry Road, McDonough, GA 30252 with Reverend Wilburn Hill and Reverend Bill Stokes officiating. Interment will follow at Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery in Newborn. The family will receive friends from 2:30 PM until 3:30 PM on Sunday at the church prior to the service. Brad Kelly, Richard Rotroff, True Rafferty, Cecil Henderson, John Palmer, and Doyle Kent will serve as pallbearers. J.C.
